You want to lose weight but you have no idea where to start… The key is to start small!! Most people when they start their weightloss journey begin by making HUGE changes to their lives. These changes are never sustainable. What ends up happening when you make huge changes like changing your diets completely, or cutting out certain things like sugar, carbs or wine, is you might lose weight from the change… but as soon as you go back to your old habits, you end up gaining the weight back, and often you gain more than you lost. By starting with small, sustainable changes, we are able to change our lifestyles and mold them with healthier habits. You have to remember that you didn’t just suddenly wake up with the body you have. That body is the result of your lifestyle and your habits. So in order to lose the weight and keep it off, you need to alter your lifestyle and your habits. Start small by moving your body daily. Set a step goal and hit it. Start. Going to the gym a couple days a week. Find a way to move your body daily that you ENJOY!! You want to find something you actually enjoy doing if you want to be sustainable in your weightloss journey! 3 things I would do if I had to lose 30lbs… Number 1 : Starting off simple & easy, I know you’ve heard this a 1000 times… but I’d focus on drinking 1 Gallon of water daily & hitting 10k steps. (If you’ve heard it 1000 times… why aren’t you doing it yet?) Number 2 : Start weight training 3-5 days a week. Following a structured program, I’d begin by training 3-5 days a weight to build muscle. Number 3 : Learn how to keep track of my nutrition. Eating healthy & eating the proper amount of food are very different things. In order to see long term results, it’s key to make sure you are properly fuelling your body for your goals!
