For years I avoided experiencing the feelings I had about what my father did to me. I thought burying them was how I moved forward. Then when I started journaling about my life which eventually became my book “Unashamed: a Life Tainted…” I allowed myself to explore how I felt about what my father did to me and I became curious about how it informed who I was and who I chose to be. When you become intentional about healing, you’ll notice changes in how you manage triggers and respond to memories.
