Advent calendars have a special place in my heart, even though I am more than satisfied with beauty routine. I'm not as excited about discovering new products and brands as I once was. That's why I'm being exceptionally discerning about the advent calendars I choose to buy this year. To be completely honest, after looking through the contents of the most popular advent calendars this year, the SPACE NK Advent Calendar stood out as the only one I truly wanted without a moment's hesitation. Day 1: Dr. Barbara Sturm Cleanser. I gave this one a try the same day I got the advent. It's a fantastic addition to my nightly cleansing routine, though I won't use it every day. A foam cleanser with Salicylic Acid can be a bit too potent for my skin to handle nightly, but incorporating it twice a week is just right. Day 2: Olaplex No. 4 Bond Maintenance Shampoo and Olaplex No. 5 Bond Maintenance Conditioner. I encountered this Olaplex duo a few years ago. I wasn't wowed then, and my sentiments remain the same. Perhaps my hair isn't in dire need of repair to notice a significant difference. Day 3: Charlotte Tilbury Bigger Brighter Eyes Eyeshadow Palette. This is a fantastic inclusion in the advent calendar, especially when you factor in its value. The only thing is, I received the same one last year in the Cult Beauty advent calendar and I've only used it a handful of times. Now I find myself with two identical products. Day 4: Drunk Elephant Lala RetroTM Whipped Cream. I adore D. E., and I believe this moisturizer is superb, especially with winter approaching. Am I considering purchasing a full size now? In this economy? Let's not be silly. Day 5: Sunday Riley C.E.O. 15% Vitamin C Brightening Serum. I've never really tried this serum, but it's my boyfriend's absolute favorite product! Last year it undoubtedly gave him a noticeably refreshed appearance. I only wish it came in a slightly larger size. Last year, it was featured in the Cult Beauty advent calendar and it was twice the size. Have you tried any of these products?
