Donation link in bio) In the beginning of Zuma’s rescue journey she couldn’t walk through the front door. Her training started with building enough confidence in stepping outside, into a world that was terrifying to her. From there she took baby steps into the driveway, baby steps down the block, baby steps around the block.. things like cars, people, other animals.. all new to her. All things she had to overcome. I’m sure most will think she still has a long way to go before they would consider her “adoptabke” but I can assure you she is EXACTLY where she needs to be until her forever family / human comes along side her and continues the dedication to building her confidence in social settings. Zuma is respectful and understands doggo etiquette veeeery well. She is dog friendly, both large and small breeds. She matches play beautifully with high energy dogs and has a great sense of her size with the little doggos. Zuma truly LOVES people. Big and smol humans. She’s crate trained and eager to learn or take a mid day snooze. Ideally her adopter will have experience in her breed but we believe that any human, regardless of experience or not, has the capacity to learn so no breed experience isn’t a deal breaker. Hi Friends! It’s been a bit weird over here. Many of you know we have found a property to lease and I am ECSTATIC (to say the LEAST!) Making a move into a home that’s been vacant for almost a decade definitely has shown to be challenging, BUT, this opportunity Is truly a once in a lifetime thang and we could use your help! Tomorrow my dad and I are going to get started with installing about 150’ of fencing.. yes. 1️⃣5️⃣0️⃣🦶🏼.. and this is just the beginning! We are using a TON of recycled material to keep costs down and I am hoping to raise enough to at least cover a day, possibly two, of renting a trencher as well as fencing supplies (praying we can raise $300-$400 for the fence project!) Lots of reflection, lots of heartbreak, LOTS of boundaries, lots of practice with different therapy techniques and understanding the importance of maintaining/understanding/honoring my mental health.
