I'm super happy with the results I got using Rit Dye to dye my clothes and hope I inspired you to think about revamping and getting the most out of your wardrobe. If you're interested in trying this DIY, here are some things I learned along the way: • The dryer fades color like crazy! Not shown in the video: Me learning that the hard way and having to buy more dye and repeat the whole process (😭😭😭). It turned out better the second time and I still used the dryer again, but the second time I used a lighter setting for delicates. Ideally I'd recommend air drying. • Rit makes a different dye specifically for clothes made primarily from synthetic fibers. Check your fabric content and use the version best suited for best results. • The overlock / serger thread in the dress didn't absorb the dye!? And the bodysuit hardware did absorb the dye in the second round!? 🫠 Despite those lil quirks, this was still very worth it to me. Happy DIY'ing! 🥳 . #upcycledclothing #clothingdye #diyclothes
