Last week, Harrison and I decided to have a different kind of date night and it was so fun! We recently got a second kayak and we’ve had our eye on Robertson Millpond Preserve for a long time so we finally went. This hidden gem in Wendell has a habitat you’d normally only find farther east. This coastal-like swamp has a 1.5 mile paddling trail marked by numbered buoys. It was so fun to explore and paddle through the cypress trees together! A few tips: 🦟 wear bug spray— but the bugs were not nearly has bad as I expected. I didn’t get bit at all and didn’t even see any really! 🛶 bring your own kayak/canoe/paddle board or rent through @tarriverlife 🗺️ take a picture of the map before embarking. We had trouble finding one of the buoys but having the map on our phone helped! 🍗 only 10 minutes from @primebbq one of the best barbecue spots in North Carolina! Have fun! Tag me if you go!
