I hope that when you look at my regalia you can tell what Nation I come from. I hope you can see the story I tell. My family in the flowers and what my community needs for true Reconciliation- Land Back. I wear red to honour my Nationhood- Being Anishnaabe, and I wear it to honour and remember Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, 2-Spirit- and Indigenous men. This way of life looks so beautiful but there is also generations of pain and suffering due to colonization. It is a miracle I am alive and sober. Somehow I was able to survive the trauma without dying or ending up addicted. This is my prayer dance. Where my community comes together to dance and sing and be togther.
