Well we did it! 5 Day Train the Trainer Regalia Making Instructor Program. They were trained to sew Jingle, Fancy Shawl and Grass. They have resources to teach now in their own communities 🫶🏾. We sewed ALL WEEK. There was lots of laughs and only one injury involving bannok 😂😂😂😂😂 This was generously sponsored by the Mastercard Foundation! A simple repetition step for Powwow Dancers. This is great because it uses left and right brain- makes them work in sync. So they have to communicate effectively lol. This is a HARD step. I’ve done probably hundreds of hours doing this one movement. It takes time and repitition to carve new neuropathways in our brains. And it’s OK not to get it on your first try.
