Wow. Really??? ...Another “special letter” signed by all the line cooks was waiting for me when I arrived for what I thought would be an amazing steak dinner to celebrate all of the hard work for my show on 2/3 in LA. I gotta say. This sucks. And honestly I’m tired of being fucked with like this… especially when I’m out with my mentor (photo credit: Matt Rife). This kind of treatment can only be the result of the unaired pilot I made last year where I went around pranking the fuck out of local LA chefs with the help of some of my celebrity friends. I don't know how many times I've apologized to the Los Angeles Restaurant community for what we did but I'm sorry. And quite frankly I'm embarrassed and ashamed of myself. Nothing I do can make up for the pyschological damage caused by a drunk Ed Sheeran throwing a flash bang gren*de into Bavel's kitchen during their dinner rush. Honestly a lot of the hate I get should be directed towards Ed. He was the head writer/creator/exec producer of the show and was a ruthless in his pranks. I would have an idea like "hey let's put some fake hair in a dish and send it back to the kitchen" ed would be like "FUCK THAT...(his eye would be all crooked) let's send a wild pack of rabid dogs up in that bitch and just let them go fucking crazy in the kitchen ahhahahaah" ....like what??? Ed is one of the most dangerous individuals on planet earth. I'll never work with him again. All I can do at this point is try and move on. I've heard Ed is trying to make his own UK version of the show & has been fucking with London chefs recently so beware.
