Travel Vlog: Solo travel and Anxiety You’ll never hear me say i “have” anxiety because thats not something i wish to own, but i do experience it. When i took my first solo trip to Detroit in February 2022, the anxiety I experienced was at an all time high. I was in grad school, working as a principal intern (really a asst principal cause the actual asst principal was on maternity leave) and processing a break up. Still that trip was one of the best trips Ive taken, led to a newly formed friendship and 2 more visits to the city, one that was a day trip just to have brunch. A week later I went on my first international solo trip, a Valentines Day trip to Costa Rica and hiked for the first time and ate at amazing restaurants.
