✨TIMED RUNS🏃🏼‍♀️⚡️ a big reason people struggle with running is being disappointed they aren’t running a certain distance in a certain time and end up giving up if they don’t see immediate improvement I do that all the time! last fall, I even DNF’d a marathon because I was so tied up in a speed goal and overworked myself for six weeks trying to hit that goal for the next race and burned myself out from running for a longgggg time so we’re resetting this year I know I’m training for a long race but we’re aiming to do mostly time-based running since I’m not going for a speed goal here and I’m encouraging you to try adding a few time-based runs into your routine as well! don’t worry about going a certain distance just go out for 20 minutes, 30 minutes or 60 and see at the end where that got you!
