Kitchen FAQs: Part 3 of 5 ✨ The third most frequently asked question is about our kitchen cabinets. The most common misconception is that we decided on a design and installed these cabinets ourselves. They were actually installed over 20 years ago by the original owners of the house 😬 Looking back, this is where we saved the most money on this remodel. A new footprint for the kitchen would have cost an arm and a leg 😅 New cabinets in this space would have set us back no less than $20k 💸 and even painting or staining them would have sent us over budget. I’m also a very indecisive person, so we’ve kept original hardware until I can settle on a finish. The trick to making these old “brown cabinets” look amazing? Finding the perfect countertops to complement their wood tones!
