They’ll take on the headache of finding the right people for the job but will charge you triple the cost. But you’ll get to sit back and relax until it’s completed. Independent Contractors: If you’re looking to save some cash, go on the hunt for licensed contractors! There are plenty of family-owned businesses out there that offer top-notch services for less. But, be prepared to be more involved, making store runs and directing the show. Materials: I played it smart and bought all my materials to avoid any shifty pricing. And boy, did it pay off! By purchasing in bulk and getting special pricing on “special orders,” I saved thousands.
