THE GUARD BEE 🐝 🐝🐝 This duty comes into play in the later stages of a worker bees life. These bees have now developed the necessary physical and behavioral traits for guard duties, one being the ability to produce alarm pheromones. The Vigilant Guard Bee must protect the hive from various threats, including Robber Bees 🐝These bees come from other colonies around the area, and are a major concern to smaller, weaker colonies.
