RESPECT… let me tell you the ☕️ since you guys loved this on my stories so much 😂 Recently I had someone reach out wanting me to block her partner on instagram. No questions asked, I did it. I did it because I’ve seen from hundreds of thousands of people (I have to say the majority are women) over the years on social media take issue with their partner/significant other following/interacting with other people they find attractive even though their partner is not comfortable with it. I’m going to tell you in my opinion why this behavior is wrong and will ruin your relationship; firstly, if you’ve spoken about it with your partner and they are 100% on board with you following/interacting with people you are attracted to, that’s cool, because you’ve shown respect for one another and communicated. BUT if your partner isn’t cool with it for whatever reason, how hard is it to just respect that and NOT follow/try and interact other people? If you love them you’ll do what it takes to make them feel safe and secure. There’s not one way to be in a relationship, but respect and communication is EVERYTHING 🙌🏽👏🏼 In addition to that a few years ago I had a man dm me 🍆 pics, so just for fun I went all John Wick & found his Facebook; this man had a wife and kids… 💀🫠 I forwarded the screenshot of his message to her & long story short, they’re now divorced. If he’d just had respect for not only his wife but people in general I’m sure his life would be very different. With that said, if you’re reading this & your significant other asks you NOT to do something because it hurts them or you KNOW that what you’re doing would hurt them if they found out - don’t call them psycho, lie & gaslight them… just don’t do it or find someone who is cool with it if that’s not something you don’t desire to give up. This is not about controlling someone’s behavior, it’s being heard on boundaries & having more respect for your partner than someone on instagram. So respect who you’re with OR someone like me will respect them first and send them the dms or block you 😇😏🤍
