I think we're far from the perfect housewife era and we are able to feel a little bit lost in motherhood, the mundane parts of it along with the highs(don't get me wrong the highs are definitely the best part). But it's ok to feel the bad things and without them it wouldn't be acceptable to celebrate the best. Think about that day when your doing a task like washing up or tidying and in your head your thinking "well this is ABIT crap" and suddenly you turn around and see your baby do something for the first time, in that moment the washing up doesn't matter,the tidying can wait and you get to be present- in awe of the moment.
