I was 100% sure of what i was having, or so i thought, i had mentally prepared for a boy, imagined what he looked like, picked out names 😅 I was totally caught off gaurd! And of course we are thrilled to simply have a healthy happy baby and i cannot imagine her not being a girl now at 7 months pregnant. However, i definitely experienced initial gender disappointment. All that is to say that it’s ok if you feel some kind of way when you initially find out the gender. I was 11 weeks pregnant here, it still didnt feel real in so many ways, but i felt so guilty for feeling a litttle disappointed. Trust me, you’re not a bad mom or person for feeling that way and it will pass!
