“I can't think of any kayak puns, canoe❓” On Monday, the sanctuary lines at Three Sisters Springs were lifted until next Manatee season. Kayaks, canoes & SUP will be allowed to enter the spring once again, and we wanted to share with all paddlers and swimmers these 7 essential tips to enjoying the spring responsibly. 💧Keep off the rocks and shoreline. 💧Keep paddlecraft away from rocks, trees and vegetation. 💧Tie off paddlecraft in the designated area outside of spring or use a vegetation friendly anchor. 💧Feet up! Don't trampel vegetation or kick up silt. 💧Don't climb trees. 💧Disposable items and alcohol are prohibited within the springs. 💧Don't throw out litter or leave anything behind. #crystalriver #threesisterssprings #floridasprings #florida #swimwiththemanatees

Manatee Season in Crystal River is marked until the end of March. However, we are currently experiencing warm weather in the 80s, and almost all of the manatees in Kings Bay have migrated back to the Gulf of Mexico in search of food. The manatees have been what we call “spring-locked” the last few months during the cold winter, therefore them being able to migrate back out is very beneficial for their health. 💚 We are seeing a few here and there, but please understand with minimal sightings at this time, there are no guarantees to seeing one in such a large natural habitat under these conditions. In 2023 we had Hurricane Idalia, which brought a great deal of damage to our recently restored aquatic ecosystem. The typical lush, green seagrass in Kings Bay that you see in this video has diminished leaving little to no grass in the bay for the manatees to eat due to the amount of salinity that was brought in from the storm surge. However the root system is beginning to show a slow comeback! 🌱 Overall, we just want everyone aware of the conditions prior to an experience with us. We are still conducting tours and paddlecraft rentals DAILY! There is plenty of wildlife to see from various fish to turtles to dolphins, birds and more. The springs are open for swimming, snorkeling and diving! 💦 Spring Break is upon us and we are filling up fast, book now while there are still openings! 🔗 LINK IN THE BIO #manatees #manateetok #swimwiththemanatees #threesisterssprings #floridasprings #florida #wildanimals #animalencounters #crystalriverflorida #asmr #asmreating
