Tiktok is how I built a platform and community. Tiktok is more than silly dancing videos, many people have small businesses, many people have joined this platform not only to support themselves but to connect with others. Theirs over 160 million people on TikTok and TikTok is different than other platforms because of its algorithm. Yes the concern is valid, however theirs been nothing shown to us of real proof of anything, its not as concerning as so much other things going on right now. Yes theirs a lot of bad, but theirs a lot of exploitation and other things on other platforms. Im not for a ban! It’s never been about the amount of followers and likes etc. Sharing my story has given me a community of people who relate and connect with me, a lot has come from just sharing my story. And while my mental health has gone through ups and downs, personally Id be devastated with that ban moving forward. Others arent the same to me, But thats my opinion. Anyway, let’s remember that everyone has a right to share their story, nobody should talk about you behind your back to others or judge the things you share. I NEVER do that nor would I think to do that. You don’t have to pretend to be happy 24/7 that isn’t real life. And silencing others isn’t ok either dictating everything they post. Let’s spread love and kindness and support people having the right to share their feelings and story. You don’t know what someone is going through behind social media. So be kind.
