I tried to wait til tomorrow but I’m too excited. This man just does it for me. We have a covenant marriage not a contract marriage. There is a difference. He made me a promise, “if you stick with me, everything I have and more is yours.” That was 4 houses, 8 colored stoned rings, (I don’t have anything against diamonds but I love rubies, emeralds, sapphires and other colored stones) 4 vehicles and many traveling adventures ago. Don’t get me wrong, while I love all the material things he has provided for me, it’s the partnership, the love he shows me through his actions, the way he prays over me and our children everyday before I go to work (even when he’s traveling for work he calls right before I leave for work to pray) the respect he demands for me from others, the midnight runs for me favorite snack, his offers to make dinner (this usually means order it and I’ll go pick it up), he is such a giver and it warms my heart watching him help others, the laughter and tears, the way he checks up on me even if I’m sitting in the next room. ALL of these things and more is why I love and cherish him. He’s MY PERSON. We always joke that he’s not for everybody but God made him especially for me and I thank Him for this man.
