It eventually became apparent that the slugs were not just a first product or a phase: I had a full time slug company. After launching and selling out of, like, the 72nd slug color (I’ve lost count of how many species at this point), it was obvious that the slugs had outgrown me & my living room full of 3D printers. I decided it was time to outsource the manufacturing & fulfillment that was completely overwhelming me (a one woman team) so I could focus my energy on adding NEW CREATURES & rebrand to focus fully on toys & the Fidget Friendz mission to empower kids, teens, & young adults to cultivate positive mental health, self-esteem, and emotional well-bring. Throughout the 3D PrinTcess Slug years, I have heard so many stories of slugs who accompany their humans to therapy every week, or slugs who have been companions to teens through times when they really needed a friend. Fidget Friendz takes the sensory stimulation & relief of a fidget spinner, & combines it with the magical, imaginative bond we form with our stuffed animals as kids. Hearing your stories (& how sad you were when I teased that 3D printed slugs were coming to an end) has given me so much purpose behind what used to be just a silly little slug toy. I have so many exciting and MEANINGFUL plans for Fidget Friendz, and I can’t wait for you to come along on the next part of this journey with me!! Replying to @StoneIsLife IT’S ALMOST TIME!!!!! IT’S ALMOST TIME!!! AHHHH!!!! I’ve been teasing a big announcement for a while now (I’ve been working on this new project all day, every day since the beginning of October) and TOMORROW I CAN FINALLY TELL YOU!!!! The entrepreneur journey can be so hard and filled with SO many ups & downs. The past few months, I’ve really felt the saying “everything that can go wrong, will go wrong”. There have been so many moments of having to take a deep breath and remind myself only to focus on the things that are in my control. BUT WE MADE IT THROUGH (jk I’m sure there will be many more of those moments to come…but hopefully I’ll be better equipped to cope with them now) Set your reminders for tomorrow at 10am PT/1pm ET & come back to see me announce what I’ve poured my blood, sweat, and tears into the past several months!!
