Milou was my first puppy, my best friend, and my #ESA All the #dog videos made me #cry and constantly imagine my Milou and our story. Milou truly saved my life multiple times. We went through so much together and saw me transition to a mindset of more hope. Freshman year, I had attempted taking my life in my college dorm. Fast forward to my sophomore year I wanted to again, but before I could try, the look of her precious face and knowing that she needed me kept me here. We lived through so much together, but when it was time to say goodbye, she went peacefully in my dad’s arms while our family cat watched over her. 🥺 As my disability continued to progress while living alone, my doctors agreed a service dog would be a life changer. On average service dogs cost $10-50k to train and was not realistic for me as a disabled college student. That’s when I decided to try my wheels on TikTok to dance with the confidence I gained with Milou, and also fundraised for a service dog. You guys absolutely blew me away with the love and support that helped bring Winston into my life 🤗 I like to think Milou helped pick him for me and is watching over him as his big sister. 😌 Milou will forever be with me, and she helped open the door for Winston to come into my life; and of course I’m beyond grateful to all who supported me and donated to give me Winston. 💜 #WinningWithWinston #ServiceDog #RainbowBridge #ServiceDogTeam #ImmaRollWithIt #MyFirstDog
