March 23rd 2020 was the day that New York officially went into lockdown during the Covid pandemic, although many folks had begun to work from home prior to that. I had continued to walk around taking photos of landmarks during this time period and recently took a look back at some of the ones I didn’t post on this page. It was an interesting look at what Manhattan looked like at the time. When I was living on the upper east side, 40% of my neighbors up and left for their second homes giving it a super eerie and deserted feel. I think some of these photos will give you a sense of what it was like.
