#ad Our plate wall isn’t just a “plate wall” — it’s a mix of so many different vintage and handmade items lovingly collected over time. We brought it all together (no tools needed!) with the help of @command, so we were able to display everything in a damage-free way that can be shuffled around as we discover new pieces to add. A diverse mix of art requires a diverse round of hanging solutions. Here’s some of what we used: For lightweight decor with Sawtooth backs — like this vintage market shopping list — we used Command™ Sawtooth Picture Hangers. This carved wooden plate is under 5 lbs and came with a wire, so we opted for the Command™ Wire Backed Picture Hanger here. A tiny secondhand shelf, living out its new life as a little mending cabinet in our combination bathroom + laundry room. ♻️ Going vertical like this frees up space in drawers, on countertops and within closets. While my husband and I are no experts at patching and darning, our little ones are certainly experts at wearing holes in everything. For our 7 year-old, it's the knees of every pair of pants he has. For our 2 year year-old it's the ends of her sleeves. And for our pups, it's every dog bed, fitted sheet and plush cushion in the house. So we simply try our best.
