Things not to do in Japan ⬇️ . Do not carry around your own luggage. Use the Yamato delivery service and they will transport your luggage within the same city or to another city as well for a fixed charge based on the size of your luggage and distance. You can request your hotel reception staff and they will assist you. If your hotel doesn’t provide this service, visit a convenience store and they will be able to assist you. Make sure you drop off your luggage prior to 12pm as the luggage gets collected in the morning. Depending if it is the same city or another, your luggage will arrive at your hotel the same day or the next day. . Make sure you carry an empty plastic back with you to store your waste. You will be walking around a lot and trying all sorts of foods and drink and you will not easily find a trash bin to throw it in. We learnt it the hard way that a plastic bag when heading out is a must! . Do not tip in the restaurants! Compared to western style, Japanese restaurants will not accept any tip and it may also be considered rude!
