In our previous video, I was misunderstood by quite a few people. I never meant for anyone to interpret what I was saying as though I was talking about the entire autistic community. We are extremely thankful and aware that we are fortunate enough to support Chris in the way that we do. But it was very hurtful for so many people to say he isn’t independent when he’s just doing his best, and he actually does a lot on his own. His version of independence is always going to look different from other people’s.
