Transitioning out of a Swaddle! š¶š» This is applicable to both traditional swaddle positions with arms down and the arms up ones. You can buy transitional arm up swaddles to help the process. I like to make sure they are wearing warm and comfortable pajamas with the hand cuffs when we start transitioning. I do one arm out of the swaddle a day alternating daily. I personally took 2 weeks ISH to do this and just introduced it really slowly so it wasnāt a surprise. I also for the first 2/3 days, only did 1 arm out for the first part of the night. Once I fed his 11pm bottle, I swaddled both arms until morning until he got used to it and then we went all night with one arm out. I then used the wrapping just around the tummy and then took the plunge! For naps, if you are swaddling, same rules apply. Alternatively swaddle and take it gently, no pressure on you or baby! I like to do this between 3-4 months before they start rolling so it isnāt too much of a big change for them of instantly no swaddle and also rolling which can often cause restlessness at night due to āpracticingā their new skill š Itās just about being 2 steps ahead of them so they donāt get caught out with too many big changes. Make sure they are well fed and burped, babies will always sleep best when they are comfortable, I use the little mittens in the pajamas to stop their hands getting cold as this can wake them, and to stop their little fingers scratching them awake as they rub their faces! Around 6 months you can introduce a SMALL comforter toy like this which they associate with bedtime for a positive experience going to bed. They get excited to see them and snuggle up to them which soothes and settles them! This is of choice i chose a very small duck that couldnt be wrapped around him. Hope that makes sense!! Iād also like to mention, itās super important when swaddling to ensure your baby isnāt too hot. This is a temp regulating swaddle from @halosleep_eu and we keep an eye on the room temp, his pajama thickness etc. itās all important to monitor so they donāt overheat. You may also find your sleepy newborn doesnāt need a swaddle at all, and thatās great, we introduced ours around 7 weeks due to a shift in sleep patterns.

Date night is ALWAYS Friday night in our home! We really try to nourish our relationship with no phones past 7pm on a Friday and do something really fun just the two of us! This week, it's pizza! We were feeling fancy but also, fun! Pizzas is easy, we grabbed some dough and a variety of toppings from Truffle Pestso, 'Ndjua, artichokes, ricotta and burrata, poured a glass of wine and played a board game! The best bit, was making the pizzas, we laughed and we chatted and the whole thing was just perfect! I love our Friday date nights so much! Do you do anything to keep the dating going since you've had a baby? #datenightideas #athomedates #firstdates

Replying to @kaytie this is a long video, so, im sorry. AS A DISCLAIMER. *** IF YOU DONT WANT TO DO A ROUTINE LIKE THIS AND IT STRESSES YOU OUT. DONT!!*** Please dont be aggressive in the comments, this is literally to help those who want it. Babies cant be put in a routine themselves at this age, but we can. We can ensure they have their needs met by using structure! No one at all is telling you you HAVE to do this, this is something i do for my babies and for my clients who need aome structure! Burping is the most important thing for babies, it REALLY helps with trapped wind which can be such a irritating feeling them and cause lots of discomfort! Full feeds, burping, top up! Oh and if you have a refluxy baby, burping is even more important and try holding them upright after a feed! Ive helped many parents come off medication for reflux by chatting about burps and milk etc! I hope this helps. Byeeeeee
