It’s been 4 years since we decided to put all of our belongings in storage & hit the road together, it’s been fun, boring at times, peaceful, adventurous, adjusting, annoying, exciting, emotional, hard, then easy….but overall we don’t regret anything! & we’ve learned so much about ourselves and this lifestyle but for now we just wanna share 3 things with y’all! 1. This lifestyle can be exciting but it does get boring at times if you don’t put in effort EFFORT for “fun”. Because we are out here trucking, meaning working, it takes us being more intentional about making time for ourselves off the truck, having a date night, or just overall not letting “the trucking life” consume you. Take advantage of the restaurants, hotels & things to do near you. Something as simple as parking the rig & staying a night in a hotel near by can be a refresher for you both. 2. Sharing such a small space with another person takes adjusting, especially if you’re not used to it. We’ve gotten in the groove of how we operate out here & learned how to respect eachothers boundaries and space if needed, but please know & understand that you will be seeing this person ALOT more than usual 😅 so mentally prepare for that. & This goes without saying but Ima say it anyways — make sure you actually like the person you plan to be around 24/7 😅 3. It’s not as impossible to do as the world makes it seem lol. Even through our hurdles we are at PEACE. And truly that’s all thanks to God. It honestly doesn’t matter if you’re in a 300 sq ft truck with someone or a 3,000 sq ft home…where God is in the midst peace resides. Also remember your “why” & continue to remind eachother of it. If y’all are out here to save money, own a truck, start a business etc…stay focused on the goal & remembering that seasons aren’t forever! (we’d also like to add, that just because we say we love being out here with eachother doesn’t mean we never get on eachothers nerves lol we DO, but that doesn’t make the above statement any less accurate) #trucksoftiktok #truckersoftiktok #truckerlife
