Homemade Pasta Sauce with Penne Herb Roasted Chicken 🍝 🌿 🍗 🤤 Ingredients: - 12oz grape tomatoes - 1 bulb garlic (peeled) - 1 small white onion (peeled & quartered) - 1 vine ripe tomato (quartered) - 2 tablespoons chili oil - 1 tablespoon salt - 1 tablespoon parsley (finely chopped, 1/2 garnish) - 1/2 tablespoon rosemary - 2 teaspoons balsamic reduction - 1lb pasta of choice - 1/3 cup pasta water - 1 package herb roasted chicken - 1 tablespoon grated Parmesan cheese Directions: 1. Add grape tomatoes, garlic, onion, vinegar ripened tomato, chili oil, and salt (@Josu Salts ) to an oven safe pan (@HexClad ) cover and bake at 350°F for 45 minutes to an hour 2. Transfer to a blender along with parsley, rosemary, and the balsamic reduction and blend for one minute 3. Cook pasta of choice as you normally would and reserve 1/3 cup pasta water 4. Add to cooked pasta along with reserved pasta water and herb roasted chicken (@Just Meats ) and cook for an additional 2 minutes on medium-high 5. Plate and garnish with more parsley and grated Parmesan Traditionally, a lot of people (in the US) will use a premade, store-bought pasta sauce and cook their protein for pasta dishes, but I switched it up for this recipe and reversed the process! All Natural Orange Candle 🍊🕯️ This little trick was nothing short of adorable and super useful if you need a soft candle or an air freshener in a pinch! What you'll need to make this work: - an orange (I used a Cara Cara orange which worked perfectly since it's seedless, and has a thick peel and central core) - 2 tablespoons olive oil (per half) - a utility lighter - a sharp knife - a spoon Directions: - cut the orange in half horizontally (this will ensure the central core remains intact, which is extremely important) - carefully remove the surrounding inner fruit without damaging the central core (using a knife and spoon will come in handy here) - dry and clean any residual juice or flesh from inside the orange half before pouring olive oil directly over the stem until it fills halfway up - let the olive oil sit for at least 5 minutes before attempting to light the "wick" (you'll notice the volume of oil will reduce because the stem and skin will absorb some of it, this is a good thing!) - now use the utility lighter to light the core (this took me around 2-3 minutes of holding the lighter directly on the stem because the olive oil needs to reach the ignition point in order to keep the flame lit) - once you get the flame to stick, it should last for at least two hours - now you can either make another candle with the other half of the orange or do as I did in the video and cut a small hole at the top and place over your newly made candle, which will help protect your flame from blowing out while also enhancing the citrusy aroma #orange #oliveoil #allnatural #homemade #candle #citrus #caracara #easy #diy #kitchenhacks #tisrarewegetout #simplehomestyle #candlelover #candlewick #foodstagram #foodheaven #instamood #instagood #instalike #tipsandtricks #orangecandle #wagonwheel #oldcrowmedicineshow

French Press Tiramisu ☕️ 🍰 😍 I've been looking forward to making this tiramisu for sometime now and I can't tell you how pleased I was with this end result! Be sure to check out the link in my bio for a big discount on the @Hauswirtbaking M5 stand mixer Ingredients: - 2 cups heavy cream - 2 teaspoons instant espresso - 1 teaspoon almond extract - 1/3 cup powdered sugar - 2 boxes lady fingers - 1/3 cup dark roast coffee (+ water for brewing) - 1 shot of Kahlúa - 2 tablespoons cocoa powder - 2 pieces dark chocolate Directions: 1. First, make your pot of coffee and let it cool since this will be the most time-consuming 2. Using the @hauswirt_baking M5 Stand Mixer, combine the heavy cream and instant espresso and mix on high 3. While the mixer is running, add the almond extract and slowly add the powdered sugar one tablespoon at a time until the mixture forms soft peaks (set the whipped cream to the side) 4. Pour the coffee into a cup tall enough to dunk the ladyfingers fully, and add a shot of Kahlúa 5. Using a 9 x 9 dish place a small amount of whipped cream on the very bottom and spread throughout 6. Now quickly dunk each individual Ladyfinger into the cup of coffee with Kahlúa and transfer to the dish until you have full layer of ladyfingers on top of the whipped cream 7. Cover the ladyfingers with a generous helping of whipped cream and top with freshly grated dark chocolate 8. Repeat this process once more so that you have three layers of cream and two layers of cookies, then cover and chill in the fridge overnight 9. Right before serving, use a sifter to dust fresh cocoa powder on top 10.
