The sun is 400x bigger than the moon, but the moon is 400x closer to earth. What a beautiful little piece of artwork from God to us. I almost cried and I never cry haha. 100% totality (first pic) vs 95% (third pic)! Being in that band of totality was everything. I scouted locations for hours, watched the weather forecasts more than the meteorologists, and drove 21 hours to get this shot and experience this with my family! The weather was PERFECT and we got the exact view I wanted before it filled up and was gated off. And very little traffic too. It was an amazing other worldy experience and so worth it all!
