I wanted to share something new I’ve been doing in the gym and at home the past few weeks. I do this in moderation with slow walks with my walker and stretch before so I don’t hurt myself. I’ve enjoyed how it makes my legs feel, while it’s hard work, the physical queues of the light ankle weights help me get my heels on the ground when I take a step - which in my regular walk it is hard for me to do naturally. Just wanted to share some of what I’ve been up to, but I’m not a trainer or physical therapist so if you decide to try this please consult with a PT first. What other exercises should I try? I’m always open to learning about adaptive methods that other people use! My body is so complex and it takes some real creativity to ensure I’m properly moving without increasing the chances of hurting myself in the long run.
