Cake batter: Follow the instructions on the back of your cake box but use milk instead of water. Caramel: 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar Heat sugar in a saucepan on medium heat, stirring constantly. It will form clumps and then it will turn into a golden brown caramel. Boil the water for the chocoflan’s water bath. Pour the caramel first then add the cake batter. Pour the flan mixture slowly into the round cake pan. Tightly cover the top of the filled round cake pans with aluminum foil (Coat the foil with nonstick spray, coated side down). Set them in the middle of a large roasting pan, then pour the boiled water into the pan. Make sure you have enough water to reach half way up the sides of the round cake pans. Bake at 350F until toothpick comes out clean. About an hour and twenty minutes. Remove from roasting pan and set aside to cool before inverting it onto a serving plate.
