Replying to @ToastEggs I appreciate your concern about me, I just want to share my journey with you and what it was like going through everything. To everyone else, please listen to people who are actually trans and not people on the news who can’t even comprehend or know anything about what it’s actually like, especially with trans people just trying to even exist in a toxic and unaccepting society like this. People wonder why trans folks struggle with other mental disorders, you should look at how they are all treated even by their own families. Its heartbreaking. I am one of the rare trans people with supportive and loving parents. That doesn’t happen often. you think its a choice? A trend? Do You really think any person would risk losing their family, being shunned by society, spend over $12,000 on a surgery in a corrupt society that can barely afford to even live in an appartment, It took me 4 months for my 10 therapy appointments becuase I couldnt afford one every week, or even be at risk of getting k1lled all because we want to be “trendy” or only for it to be a “choice”? No absolutely not. No one drops 12 grand on a surgery all becuase they are “mentally unstable and thats why they do it” no. doctors aren’t stupid, you get evaluated and have appointment after appointment before even getting that far. Being trans is not a choice, the suffering we endure is not a choice, being born in a body that doesnt feel like our own is not a choice. Being in physical and mental pain is not a choice. If you want to help trans people, just understand, and do actual research, ask us about our experiences even!! I know some are happy to share an inside look on what its truly like.
