🚨 Please share with family / friends with kids + your kids! 🚨 Rob was in the timeout corner for a couple minutes and got too curious, putting his finger in the door jam. I’ve warned my kids about the dangers of doors before but I guess Rob needed to see to believe. Note: I got a lot of low quality comments on my IG about this and I’ll address some of those statements before hand. 1- For those calling my son stupid: He indeed made a stupid mistake. But he’s actually a genius. He skipped a grade and has read more books than I have ever read. He is likely the smartest 8 year old in his school, but he’s 8 years old though… and still makes mistakes. 2- I was criticized for placing him in a corner for time out. Apparently that’s cruel? 🤷🏻‍♂️ Not sorry, it’s a very good way to help my son calm down when he makes angry choices. PS: He’s ok! I’m still shocked he only refeived a small fracture and his finger will be fine. That door was shut hard and the crack his finger was smashed in was barely thicker than a credit card.
