Today I am having an open studio as part of EXPO Chicago! I make mourning jewelry, taxidermy, stained glass, and cyanotypes and I host workshops in my studio too. Come on down to Mana Contemporary in Pilsen from 12-4 and visit 9 floors of artist studios across all disciplines. It’s free and parking is free too, so grab a map and I recommend you take the elevator all the way to the top and work your way down floor by floor. Don’t miss me when you’re on the 8th floor! You can see some stuff I’ve been working on behind the scenes like this preserved orchid, my big cyanotype project, and a recent acquisition of historical primate research specimens that I’ll be restoring and caring for. During the open house I’ll be demoing the Victorian hairwork jewelry process using human hair.
