Replying to @endoflifeclarity Erasing one’s polyamorous identity sounds incredibly similar to bi erasure. Relationship style is not what confirms or removes one’s polyamorous identity. The choice being made is being in multiple relationships. Your relationship style does not always match your relationship orientation. If you think polyamory is a choice, you are either A: only viewing it as a relationship style B: upholding mono normativity or C: are ambiamorous and may not know of the term or not using it. Ambiamory is completely valid and some will call themselves polyamorous if it’s their current or desired relationship style. Your relationship orientation is just who you are.
