Beware this scam 🚨 Sharing to spread awareness about a known grift in the collectibles hobby that’s blown up in the past few years, knock off shikishis. Watch out for any and all official “signed” shikishi art listings without the following: • COA • clear descriptions on how and when art was obtained • a copy of lottery documents or the associated event • pricing dramatically lower than market comps • art or signature style disparities with authentic work Tough to make this one as it makes me sick these people exist and seek to profit off this. Finally 😮 Waited over six months to find a decent deal on the 2023 Spider-Gwen Annual # 1 Jeehyung Lee variant and it finally happened 🕷️ Not only did waiting result in paying less, but we scored legendary illustrator @jeehyunglee’s amazing variant cover signed and authenticated by @cgccomics in a gold label 9.8. If you’re not familiar with the lore or the significance of this cover- one of the core reasons Gwen fights as gracefully as she does is because she excelled as a ballerina. My family grew up in a dance studio, so I always appreciated that part of the backstory. It makes me look forward to her fight choreography the most in every spiderverse.
