Tablet/ Screen time rules for my 3 year old- 1. Tablet is not "hers", it's ours, and we are "sharing with her. We don't want her to have this belief that she is allowed to have her own personal device. 2. We don't allow the tablet or phone use in the house. It only comes out outside. 3. TV time is allowed only at a specific time in the house - 7:30 pm. That way, she knows that it's not TV time yet. She asks us herself - Is it 7:30? Can I watch TV now ? And if it's not 7:30, then we ask her to wait even though she throws a tantrum. 4. There is no tablet in the car unless it's a road trip or sometimes when we are out for long, and she has missed her nap and is way too cranky.. 5. The tablet is allowed in the restaurant when no other entertainment does the job. Coz we want to enjoy our meals too .. 6. Definitely allowed during vacations. Obviously, it's not full-time during vacations as there is so much to do for them, but screen time is much more during vacations, and we are Ok with that 🙌😊 What are your screen time rules for your kid.
