At a recent party I got a lot of "How's the sweet empire going?" type questions. The "you must be ready to retire, it's been nearly 10 years, how's the mansion?" 😩 In reality it only seems to be getting harder. So many small businesses are surviving, but not thriving. It's sad. I'm really grateful still here. I feel really lucky. I really do. For everything I have 😊 I just don't want to perpetuate the myth that everything is fine and dandy for small businesses. Lots of people are speaking up, but lots are pretending. I don't know what's right. I didn't have the guts (and it wasn't the time) to say "Actually Edna, it's bloody hard out there, I'm tired, and I'm worried I've lost the fun and the dream, and ha! What's retiring? Our generation will work til we are well into our 70s, but don't worry cus the stress will get me before then. Cheers 🥂" 😂😂 Anyway.. That's my Monday musings.. Anyone got any tips on how to just make pretty cocktails all day? I'd like that 😊 maybe with a smattering of crochet and baking. P. S.
