🌎 The world puts autistic people into 2 boxes; those viewed as “different” and those viewed as “disordered”. Let me be perfectly clear in that I do NOT believe these unofficial distinctions are useful, and they’re certainly not correct. ❌ That said…I DO think it would be helpful to incorporate the distinction “profound autism” when appropriate. ✅ The folks who fit into this category are both the MOST vulnerable, and the LEAST represented.
