My Mother was/IS so beautiful 💜 forgiving someone who never apologized for hurting you so deep has been one of the hardest things I’ve ever done. But my mom being diagnosed with Dementia due to her alcoholism has given me a new perspective. Its hard knowing ill never have “my mom” back - but am instead left with the shell of who she used to be. Her not remembering that im her daughter sometimes really stings and breaks my heart to a million pieces. But being there for my mom in her greatest time of need is helping to give me peace. in my reality I will have to lose her 3 times.
