We have to learn to be content no matter where we are, mo matter what we are doing. Whatever circumstances we are in, we have to find joy.

I’m 17 and have had 33 surgeries and I have many more upcoming. My next and biggest one is a jaw surgery that would help me open my mouth wider. As it is now, its hard for me to eat and it takes forever due to my jaw not being able to open very wide. It also hurts my speech. I dont really want to get this surgery because the recovery is very long and painful and actually they aren’t sure if it will get the results we want. But I do have to try at least. I am not sure on the best time to have this surgery either and that is something I’m talking with my parents about a lot. My senior year is coming up sooo….

I can walk. And I can walk fast. What I can’t do is walk for a long distance, it starts to hurt. But we shouldn’t focus on what we cannot do, but rather what we can do.
