We use recycled polyester more than any other material (we’ve been using it since 1993). When compared with virgin polyester it makes no compromises on quality, durability, weight or drying time. “This is the most dangerous part of climbing Everest from the Nepal side. Chris Chandler (kneeling) and I puzzle-out a potential route through the Khumbu Icefall. Today, teams of Sherpas scout and maintain routes for clients … back in the 1970s, we had to establish the route ourselves.” “After [we] … established the route through the icefall, a team of Sherpas was assigned to maintain it as the séracs shifted and the crevasses expanded and contracted.” Read more about Rick Ridgeway’s adventures in “Life Lived Wild.” Find the book at https://pat.ag/TT/2/LifeLivedWild Photos: Johan Reinhard #everest #booktok #adventure #climbing

If you enjoyed Wild Life, the recent National Geographic doc about our former CEO, Kris Tompkins, and her husband Doug, you might also dig our friend Rick Ridgeway's fantastic memoir, A Life Lived Wild. The common theme is right there in the title, and Rick shared many of his "adventures at the edge of the map" with none other than Doug Tompkins. And he provides further insight into how these two reinvented themselves. "Doug's changed," Rick declares, later in his story, to a mutual friend, Jib. "How so?" Jib asks. In the twenty years since he married Kris, Rick says, his use of pronouns is way different. "Pronouns?" "Just now," Rick replies, "Doug was using more plural pronouns than I can ever remember. It wasn't 'I' and 'me,' but 'we' and 'us'." Find a copy of "A Life Lived Wild" on Patagonia.com #memoir #booktok #alifelivedwild #patagoniabooks
