We did it, baby Sam 🤍🙏🏼 from Bilary Atresia to Kasai to Liver Transplant with 29 years in between. I am so proud of you. Your strength is your power. I am almost a month post my liver transplant surgery, and today is World Liver Day, which is why I want to share this. I have been so blessed to have had such a good experience with all of this. Yes, I still get pain however overall I am feeling more and more myself every day. Something that I feel SO deeply is gratitude. I always have, but right now, it feels like one of the most important emotions. I am grateful for this life, I am grateful for my family, I am grateful for my friends, and I am grateful for free health care, I am grateful for the love I receive from strangers most of all I'm grateful to my donor and their family. You are the reason I am here right now. I will never be able to truly express how much that means to me, and I know you will never know who I am, but I will show the world how grateful I am through living my life every day with love, respect, kindness, happiness and responsibility.
