Jose Ramirez Fernandez: 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐇𝐞𝐫𝐨~ 𝐂𝐨𝐬𝐭𝐚 𝐑𝐢𝐜𝐚 As a native Costa Rican who is an expert in rodent biology, Jose brings a unique perspective and skill set to his mission of saving animals like the elusive oncilla, powerful ocelot, and the newly discovered clouded tiger cat. Transcript of video: The oncilla which is the star of our project and  the most special species we have in the country. The oncilla prefers small mammals; mice. The oncilla also has a very particular situation because we have oncillas with spotted coat patterns and we have melanistic oncillas which are completely dark just like the Jaguars and the Panthers which is the same station that have different colors, same situation happens with the oncilla. So you can have them like spotted or all black the ones that are black tend to be more active with bright conditions it could be during the day or with full moon and the other ones are completely nocturnal. La oncilla que es la estrella de nuestro proyecto y la más especial especies que tenemos en el país. La oncilla prefiere los mamíferos pequeños; ratones. La oncilla también tiene una situación muy particular porque tenemos oncillas con patrones de pelaje manchado y tenemos oncillas melánicas que están completamente oscuros al igual que los jaguares y los panteras que es la misma estación que tiene diferentes colores, La misma situación ocurre con la oncilla. Para que puedas tenerlos como manchados o todos negros. los que son negros tienden a ser más activos en condiciones de mucha luz Podría ser durante el día o con luna llena. y los demás son completamente nocturnos.
