My Mom always told me to read the Bible for myself. She would say do not only take in God’s word through the lens of others but develop your own understanding of His word. Attempt after attempt, I failed everytime, beating myself up because i didnt read enough or couldn’t concentrate in Genesis. This year, I vowed to take it more seriously and prayed for guidance on where to start…the next day, I came across @ashleyhetherington on YouTube and her video helped so much. I haven’t missed a day since. This new found peace is indescribable and my hopes is that this encourages someone else to try again and again and again.
