Mom already gave this momma cat a name: Orange. We first met her as a pregnant cat last month when we were bringing food and water to then-stray cat Ming-Ming, now our new rescue cat, in the same spot. Orange was a bit distant then, but Mom would still leave some food for her after feeding Ming-Ming. Orange has given birth already (probably early this month), and Mom and my dog-siblings, Kuya Nikko and Ate Sparkly, see her in the vacant lot more frequently now. Mom makes sure she has some kibbles and cat treats with her during their morning walks (she wants to bring some water for Orange, too, next time). Hopefully, Mom can have Orange spayed once she's gained some weight already (she is a TNVR advocate). The newly-arrived rescues, Victor and Ming-Ming, have to learn some table manners. They always eat in a hurry, and always ask for more despite a healthy serving of cat food already. Mom says a tough street life for a long time makes them (Victor and Ming-Ming) this way. I was out for a while without Mom knowing it (I escaped through her bedroom window). I jumped into the balcony, and onto the neighbor's hot roof during mid-day. My dog- sister, Ate Sparkly, saw me trying to come down and join her and my siblings in our front yard -- but I couldn't due to height reasons. Good thing she barked nonstop, alerting my Mom of the situation.
