Here’s my travel wallet setup: - a few easy cash envelope categories like tips & eating out - ID (keep that passport in the safe) - travel credit card(s) This is my everyday carry wallet. I carry the least on me bc I need my purse light. I hate feeling weighted down on vacay. Per usual, I use cash for planned expenses like: - food - shopping I use my credit card for larger expenses like: - flights - hotel - Uber But I expense track all that credit card spending and pay it off as soon as those transactions clear. HOW I AFFORD TRAVEL YEAR-ROUND I budget travel into our monthly budget so there’s never any surprises. I sacrifice a lot of other things like: 🚫 - nails 💅🏾 - hair - lashes - movies/bowling/entertainment I realized years ago that my time is precious so I choose to spend time with my dtr & pay HER to do my mani/pedi. I do my own reties (I have Sisterlocks) or my loctician & I do each others hair for FREE.99 🗣️ I AM NOT SAYING STOP GETTING YOUR NAILS DONE I got my nails done off & on for years where I live and honestly, I haven’t found anyone worth the price so it was easy to let all that stuff go. Also the weather is 80 degrees everyday (except a couple months where it might drop to a cool 65 😏) so I stay in the ocean, somebody’s pool or sauna, etc. This lifestyle change means idc about lashes and makeup. I care about health, skincare & my mental. Here’s what I do spend money on: - facials & simple, clean products - therapy - vitamins, powders, fruits/veggies Anyway I know this is a travel post but it all relates to me bc when I feel good, I feel like traveling so boom 😂 But, travel is life for us sooo that’s all folks!
