HOMEMADE TEXAS ROADHOUSE ROLLS • copycat or upgrade? Decide for yourself 🤤 • While it is nice to walk into their restaurant greeted with a basket of hot, fresh rolls, there’s no better feeling than learning to make them yourself! Then you can have tasty rolls any day you want 😮💨 • RECIPE: Yields 12-14 dinner rolls Total time: 2hrs • INGREDIENTS: 1 C warm milk (whole or 2%) 3T salted butter (melted) 3T honey 2 1/4tsp active dry yeast 3 C bread flour 1 egg (room temperature) 1tsp salt • INSTRUCTIONS: -Mix together warm milk, melted butter, and warm honey. Make sure the mixture isn’t hotter than 110°F or you may risk killing the yeast. Mix in yeast and let sit for ~10 minutes. -Toss in a few scoops of flour and mix for 15 seconds. Add in egg and salt. Mix for 15 seconds. Add in the remainder of flour and mix for about 4-5 minutes. The dough will still stick to the sides, but should look fairly smooth all around. -Grease a medium bowl, shape the dough into a ball, and place the dough in for about 1-1.5hrs (until doubled). -Punch down and place into a smooth, clean surface. Portion into 12 balls. I like to get identical-sized rolls, so I weigh them at 2.5oz using a kitchen scale. Using a dough cutter, punch off 4 sides of the roll to get that iconic TX Roadhouse roll look. This will bring your rolls down to about 2oz. Repurpose punched-off pieces to make more rolls until you have a small amount of discard. Place on greased baking sheet. -Cover with towel and let rise for another 30 minutes. In that time, preheat oven to 350°F. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown. Remove and glaze with melted butter. Enjoy! • Tools: dough cutter, @scotsmanusa pizza boards, baking sheet, medium bowl, Professional 600 @kitchenaidusa. • How many rolls do you eat when you go to @texasroadhouse? I eat about 8-10 😂 • Share this with a bread lover!! • #rolls #dinner #texasroadhouse #foodie #food #dinnerideas #yummy #delicious #bread #breadlover #breadlove #breadlovers #homemade #baking
