It’s not only limited to the nuerodivergent minds, but for anyone who really wants to heal mentally and improve their sense of self love 💕 but why this journal works so perfectly for ADHD people specifically is that we have what is called “interest based motivation”, which is why it’s so hard for us to follow routine and have the consistent motivation for boring tasks like cleaning, chores, etc. boring=overwheming and mentally exhausting in our minds most of the time, but at the same time, we could spend hours fixated on working or focusing on something we are really interested in! What this mental health daily journal / self care habit tracker does is give us prompts to follow and cute things to color in when we accomplish tasks like remembering to drink water, and forcing ourselves to focus on all the positive things that happened during our days rather than dwelling on only the negatives. Regular planners or blank paged journals are far too overwhelming for us to follow in the amount of work that would have to go into drawing something like this from scratch, every single day! Messy nessy designs has done all of that work for us and has made it so easy for us to just get to do the fun part, filling it in! It gives us a very rewarding feeling for accomplishing these tasks that are otherwise really hard for us to remember to keep up with consistently. This also really helps everyone to be able to learn more about themsleves in noticing patterns with our mental health in conparison to the amount of sleep we got, water intake, energy levels, etc. not to mention how relaxing and therapeutic studies have even shown thst coloring can be!
